FRIDAY THE 13TH

Prob the best of the slasher films i have seen of late,here we see the leaders of a summer camp setting up shop before the kids arrive and unknown to them someone out there resents their prescence-a lot.
Nice little twist at the end-as you do with these kinda films you wonder who the killer is and its a suprise when they are revealed.

First in a long series of films and considered by many to be the best,meet young Mike-he's fresh out of a mental institution after murdering his sister and marks the event by stalking a teenage girl/her pals.

Features Donald Pleasence and a rather unlikeable Jamie Lee Curtis.

                      Slumber Party Massacre (1982)

All american apple pie teen decides to hold a slumber party while her parents are out of town.after much bickering the new girl decides not to atttend but stay at home ( handily situated next door for reasons that become clear later on in the film ),a crazed murderer with a liking for power tools that hasnt yet featured in an ep of DIY SOS picks off the girls one by one.
I wouldnt say the film was  that bad but its a fair way in before much happens-still when the fun starts it keeps ones attention.

A bunch of kids arsing about in a derelict convent accidently kill one of thier fellow sprogs when she falls out of a window-they elect to do what they  consider the decent thing and give it legs ( vowing never to speak of such events ever again )

Nice bunch .....

Anyways the film skips forward to 4 years time and its graduation night.as you would expectfor this kind of film-people start falling off their perches and recieving what they frankly deserve but you might be suprised when the villan/hero is unmasked.

The Majorettes (1987)  A hoodied looney stalks members of a high school majorette team and dispatches them with grisly aplomb,usual wooden acting and the lack of sympathy for the murderees but still fun to watch.                                 "But what is my motivation Mildred ??" Hands up if you use you use Right Gaurd !! Keep Calm And Carry A Corpse "Lionel-how often do you clean out your locker ?? !!" "OOoohh !!!- well i never !!"

The Prowler ( 1981 )

Its ww2 and Rosemary informs informs her GI BF she cant be arsed to wait for him to return and finds someone else-hostilities end and she attends a party with new fella and they meet a grisly and amusing end.

Fast foward 35 years and the towns folk hold the first jolly up since that fatefull night and as you might guess several party attendees meet similar fates-but who is responsible ??-watch and find out !!
